The Role
I am looking for a talented artist to partner with on a long-term, per-project basis for a series of 2D video games. As I ramp up development, I need a reliable creative partner who can bring these worlds to life.
Most projects focus on dice and card-based mechanics. This is a flexible role perfect for freelancers looking for steady, creative work without strict corporate hours.
Project Scope
- Platforms: Games will be released on Itch.io and Steam.
- Credit: Full proper credit provided on all platforms and in-game.
- Initial Task: Creation of 45 cards varying in complexity (hats, tools, nondescript locations).
- Flexibility: Delivery time frames and schedules are flexible to fit your life.
Tools & Policy
We believe in artistic integrity while utilizing modern workflows.
AI Policy:
- Pre-Production: You must be comfortable working with AI-generated content (references, concept designs, storyboards) provided during the planning phase.
- Assistance: AI tools used to help create or clean up images are allowed.
- Final Assets: No raw generative AI created images are accepted. The final deliverables must be your own work.
Compensation Paid Opportunity
This role offers a hybrid payment model designed to reward you now and in the future.
1. Initial Payment
Pay is calculated per image or as a flat rate for a batch.
- Rate: $10 per card
- First Batch: 45 Cards ($450 total est.)
2. Ongoing Revenue Share
You will receive an equal percentage of all income generated from the games you contribute to and are credited on.
